✽Book Haul #2 – Post book buying ban edition by the Haul Fairy ✽

Hi guys! Book haul Fairy here! It’s been a long time since I had a book haul post. I’ve been in a book buying ban for a while and after that, I hoarded lots of book. I’m very excited to show it to you all!

Angelfire Series by Courtney Allison Moulton Angelfire, Wings of the Wicked and Shadows in the Silence. I bought this when I was still hooked with bad-ass angels.

Unwholly by Neal Shusterman, Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier, Eona: The Last Dragoneye by Alison Goodman. These are the 2nd books in my "series-to-complete shelf" so, I had to have them.

Dan Brown’s works includes Inferno and The Lost Symbol Illustrated edition. I’m a really big fan of his works. After reading the The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, I was inspired to collect his works in hardbound edition and now in illustrated edition. I bought Inferno in an online shop in Facebook, and The  Lost Symbol in Booksale. Both were really cheap.

Hold Me Closer, Necromancer and Necromancing the Stone by Lish McBride. I never heard this book before and was never recommended by my peers or the booktube community. What got my attentions is the logo, the William C. Morris YA Debut Award Nominee. I said to myself “it has some kind of sticker, I bet this is good.” I also researched in goodreads for reference.

Bloodlines Series by Richelle MeadBloodlines, The Golden Lily, The Indigo SpellI didn’t like the first book in this spin off series, maybe because I haven’t read the Vampire Academy series yet. Anyway, I decided to read the Vampire Academy series first and I will get back to this. The books are raved in the booktuber community and by my book reader friends. I promise to give this another shot.

Series of Unfortunate Events books 1-13 by Lemony Snicket – I read the first half of this series and it was okay. It has so many repetitive words, which I find annoying. I don’t think I can finish the series.

Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick – I was overwhelmed by the thickness of the book, I think it was 3 inches thick and it was kinda heavy. It was full of cool illustrations and I’m a sucker for it. I got this for 60% off!

Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke & Bone Series - Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Days of Blood & Starlight, Dreams of Gods & Monsters – I LOVE THE COVER OF THESE BOOKS! The titles are poetic, I don’t know how she does it. It sounds so magical. Look at those yummy covers!

S. by J.J. Abrams (Creator), Doug Dorst (Goodreads Author) -

Blurb:
One book. Two readers. A world of mystery, menace, and desire.

A young woman picks up a book left behind by a stranger. Inside it are his margin notes, which reveal a reader entranced by the story and by its mysterious author. She responds with notes of her own, leaving the book for the stranger, and so begins an unlikely conversation that plunges them both into the unknown.

THE BOOK: Ship of Theseus, the final novel by a prolific but enigmatic writer named V. M. Straka, in which a man with no past is shanghaied onto a strange ship with a monstrous crew and launched onto a disorienting and perilous journey.
THE WRITER: Straka, the incendiary and secretive subject of one of the world’s greatest mysteries, a revolutionary about whom the world knows nothing apart from the words he wrote and the rumours that swirl around him.

THE READERS: Jennifer and Eric, a college senior and a disgraced grad student, both facing crucial decisions about who they are, who they might become, and how much they’re willing to trust another person with their passions, hurts, and fears.
S. , conceived by filmmaker J. J. Abrams and written by award-winning novelist Doug Dorst, is the chronicle of two readers finding each other in the margins of a book and enmeshing themselves in a deadly struggle between forces they don’t understand. It is also Abrams and Dorst’s love letter to the written word.

I LOVE the overall physical appearance of this book. It was the coolest book ever! I'm glad I purchased this. I saw this in Peruse channel in YouTube and she sold me this amazing looking book. It has clippings, postcards, pictures, telegrams inside the book... and it smells old, how did they do that? The paper also appeared brownish (on purpose) giving it an old book vibe.

The School for Good and Evil and A World Without Princes by Soman Chainani - New York Times Bestseller * Indie List Bestseller * Soon to be a Film from Universal Pictures * A Barnes & Noble Best Book of 2013 * Waterstones Children's Prize Nominee * Children's Choice Reading List Selection.

Do I need to explain why I got these? The books are pretty cute. It has deckle edges, pretty covers, and illustrations. Plus, it's pretty cheap for a hardbound book.

That's all for now!

Haul Fairy signing out.
